PUMP REDISIGN

🏡 Project Overview: Pump Design Change

This drawing shows how water is drawn out of Eagle Lake to lower its level. Pipes with small slots, buried in sand on the lake bottom, let water in while keeping mud and debris out. A larger pipe carries that water to a nearby underground pump station, which pumps it away through a discharge pipe.

For a pump design change, this layout sets the limits. Normal permitted pumping is 500 GPM, and the permanent system cannot simply accommodate the former 2,000 GPM temporary pump. Any added contingency capacity must be checked against these pipes, the lift station, and EGLE approval.
